In the summer of 2015, the life of 19-year-old Marquise Caldwell, an African-American male, was cut short in a burst of gunfire that also claimed the lives of two other teenagers in Baltimore, Maryland. On the night of August 13, police were called to the Wilson Park neighborhood where they discovered a grim scene near a playground at the intersection of Willow and Alhambra Avenues.
Marquise, along with 17-year-old Franklin Morris and 17-year-old Tyrik Adams, had been shot.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two, including Marquise, were rushed to a nearby hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
