In the winter chill of a Baltimore evening, on January 19, 2024, the life of 28-year-old Dequan T. Thomas was violently cut short. The incident unfolded in Northwest Baltimore, in the 5200 block of Fairlawn Avenue, just after 8 p.m. Police were called to the scene following reports of a shooting, where they discovered a chaotic and tragic situation.
