Dannta Holmes, a 39-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically killed on March 10, 2018. Holmes was driving in a funeral procession through the Penrose neighborhood of West Baltimore when he was shot. The incident occurred in the 300 block of North Monroe Street, where Baltimore Police officers were dispatched following reports of a shooting. Holmes, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
