In the summer of 2014, a fatal encounter unfolded in a supermarket parking lot in Northwest Baltimore, claiming the life of a 46-year-old Black male named Terrez Bowden. The incident, which began with an argument, escalated to gunfire on the morning of Thursday, June 26, 2014, in the parking lot of the Aldi market located in the 3600 block of West Coldspring Lane.
Bowden was shot while in a vehicle and succumbed to his injuries the following day.
The investigation into the shooting led Baltimore City Police to 26-year-old Dwight Jenifer. He was arrested on Friday, June 27, 2014, and faced a series of serious charges, including first and second-degree murder, as well as multiple assault and handgun charges. Jenifer was subsequently held without bail.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute over a debt or a possible robbery. Jenifer alleged to the police that Bowden had attempted to rob him. The case was eventually considered closed by law enforcement following the arrest and charging of Dwight Jenifer in connection with the death of Terrez Bowden.
