On a summer evening in Marrero, Louisiana, the life of 48-year-old Tirrell Gilmore, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 15, 2025, Gilmore was found the victim of a fatal shooting, a grim end to what should have been a quiet night in the New Orleans suburb. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of the violent encounter, which took place outside a local bar.
