On December 8, 2025, Fort Worth police officers responded to a welfare check request at an apartment complex located in the 5700 block of Remington Circle. The call was initiated by the employer of 46-year-old female Tiffney Monee Wilson, who had failed to report for work that Monday morning. Her colleagues had attempted to reach her multiple times without success, prompting them to contact law enforcement out of concern for her safety.
Upon arriving at the residence in southwest Fort Worth, officers received no response at the door and made the decision to force entry into the unit.
Inside the apartment's living room, investigators discovered the bodies of Wilson and a 48-year-old male identified as Johnny Antonio Perrin. Both individuals had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives determined that the two had been involved in a romantic relationship. The initial investigation at the scene suggested the tragic event was a murder-suicide, and police noted that there were no signs of forced entry prior to their arrival, nor was there an ongoing threat to the public.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office subsequently conducted autopsies to confirm the manner and cause of death. Records indicated that Wilson died from a gunshot wound to the head, and her death was ruled a homicide. Perrin also died from a gunshot wound to the head, but his death was classified as a suicide. Authorities concluded that Perrin fatally shot Wilson before turning the weapon on himself. Because the sole suspect in the case was deceased upon discovery, no arrests were made, and the case was effectively closed following the medical examiner's final report.
