On May 15, 2025, just before midnight, officers responding to Pirkle Road in unincorporated Norcross found 17-year-old male Andrew Antonio Gatlin of Lilburn suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to Northside Hospital Gwinnett, where he was pronounced dead. Two other teenagers, also wounded in the same incident, later arrived at a children's hospital in Atlanta with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
