On November 8, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred at the Huntington Ridge Apartments located on the 2400 block of Windsor Woods Lane in unincorporated Norcross, Georgia. The victim, identified as 16-year-old Jose Yahir Batz from Norcross, was found deceased at the scene with at least one gunshot wound.
