In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Norcross, Georgia, tragedy struck a local shopping center. On September 19, 2021, Dennis Adan Guifarro-Buendilla, a 22-year-old male, was fatally shot in the parking lot. The incident, which unfolded shortly before 3 a.m. outside a lounge on Britt Road, also left two other individuals wounded.
An off-duty Gwinnett County police officer, who was working a security detail at a nearby karaoke bar, was the first to respond after hearing the sound of gunfire. The officer’s investigation led him to the grim discovery of three victims. Dennis Adan Guifarro-Buendilla was found deceased at the scene. Two other men, identified as 24-year-old Federico Allen Brown and an 18-year-old, were also found with gunshot wounds. Both of the injured men were transported to a local hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, family and friends of the victims gathered at the scene, mourning the sudden and violent loss. The Gwinnett County Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the triple shooting. At the time of the initial reports, investigators had not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
As of late September 2021, no arrests had been announced in connection with the death of Dennis Adan Guifarro-Buendilla, and no suspects had been publicly identified. The case remained under active investigation by Gwinnett County homicide detectives, who appealed to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in the case.
