Lapriest Maddox, 51, a male Black/African American from Louisville, Kentucky, was found just after midnight on May 27, 2025, outside a home in the 3500 block of Bells Lane in the Park DuValle neighborhood. Officers with Louisville Metro Police’s Second Division responded to reports of gunfire and discovered Lapriest Maddox with a gunshot wound; Emergency Medical Services and Louisville Fire pronounced Lapriest Maddox dead at the scene.
