In the early evening hours in Louisville, Kentucky, a welfare check led to the grim discovery of a local man's violent death. Just after 8:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department were dispatched to the 2100 block of West Madison Street in the Russell neighborhood. Upon their arrival, they found a man who had been shot. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, but it was too late; the man was pronounced dead from his injuries.
