The fatal incident unfolded on the evening of December 13 in the 9900 block of Shirewick Way.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a chaotic
situation with three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Turrelles-Arias, along with 21-year-old Omar Alejandro Rebozo-Hibirma, had sustained mortal injuries and were rushed to the hospital, where they were both pronounced dead. A third victim of the shooting managed to survive their injuries. Neighbors reported that the house where the shooting took place was a rental property and that new tenants had moved in approximately two months prior to the incident.
The Louisville Metro Police Department launched an investigation into the triple shooting and the resulting homicides. As of the initial reports, no arrests had been made in connection with the deaths of Turrelles-Arias and Rebozo-Hibirma.
