Gary Kenneth 'Scootie' Lawrence, a 49-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the evening of Tuesday, October 6, 2020, in the Old Louisville neighborhood. The shooting took place at approximately 8:00 PM in the 300 block of East Ormsby Avenue. A native of Paris, Kentucky, Lawrence was a husband and a salesman who was a member of the St. Stephens Baptist Church in Louisville.
