In the early morning hours of April 3, 2024, the life of Gregory Powell Jr., a 33-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident unfolded around 1 a.m. in the 4300 block of Norbrook Drive, located in the Buechel neighborhood. Officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department's Sixth Division responded to a call about a person down and discovered Mr. Powell at the scene. He had sustained what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
