On the night of August 18, 2023, Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3400 block of Prestwood Drive in the Newburg neighborhood. Upon arrival around 11 p.m., they discovered two men outside, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers administered aid until EMS arrived and transported the victims to a nearby hospital.
