In the early morning hours of October 6, 2019, the life of 25-year-old Avion Camp Sr., a Black male, was tragically cut short in the Park DuValle neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. Responding to a call of a shooting at approximately 1:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police officers arrived at the 2900 block of Dr. William G. Weathers Drive to find a scene of violence.
