On the night of August 6, 2025, just after 11:15 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of NW Kendall Avenue in Topeka, Kansas. There, officers found Drew L. Davis, 42, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced Drew Davis, a White/Caucasian male, dead at the scene, and investigators began processing a front-yard crime scene cordoned by tape behind a house near 124 NW Kendall Avenue.
