Eric Cecil Barker Sr., a 33-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on January 16, 2008, in Decatur, Georgia. Barker, who was serving as a police officer with the DeKalb County Police Department, was working an off-duty security detail at an apartment complex on Glenwood Road.
