On February 11, 2017, Jalen Flournoy, an 18-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed in Decatur, Georgia. The incident occurred on Eastwyck Circle, where Jalen was confronted by armed, masked men who demanded his backpack. When Jalen refused to comply, he was shot in the chest, leading to his untimely death.
