Gregory Joshua Newsome Jr., 34, a Black / African American male, was found just after 1 a.m. on September 12, 2025, outside a home in the 6200 block of Eastridge Drive, near East 10th Street and North Arlington Avenue on Indianapolis' east side. Officers arrived to find the 34-year-old with apparent gunshot wounds; he was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and died later that evening.
