In the pre-dawn hours of an October morning in Albany, Georgia, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet, leaving one man dead and another wounded. The deceased was identified as Malcolm Lamar Davis, a 36-year-old male. The incident unfolded at approximately 3 a.m. at the intersection of Broad Avenue and Front Street.
Davis was the passenger in a vehicle stopped at a traffic light when another car pulled alongside them and opened fire. He was struck by multiple bullets. The driver of the car, 32-year-old Lenterrious Leftenant, was also injured in the shooting but was reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital.
Investigators at the scene discovered shell casings from what they believe to be two different firearms, suggesting the involvement of at least two shooters. The hail of bullets was directed into the car carrying Davis and Leftenant.
