In the early evening of May 19th, the life of 30-year-old Seth Moisoff, a male resident of Phoenix, Arizona, was tragically cut short. First responders were dispatched to the vicinity of 35th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane around 5:00 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Moisoff suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
He was swiftly transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The Phoenix Police Department's homicide unit immediately launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Moisoff's death. Detectives began processing the scene and canvassing the area for witnesses and any available evidence. Their initial efforts led them to identify a suspect in the fatal shooting: 65-year-old Joseph Jennings. Authorities released information about Jennings, who was also known by the names John and J.J., and warned that he was considered to be armed and dangerous. The police appealed to the public for any information that could lead to his whereabouts, hoping that community assistance would be key to his apprehension.
After an extensive investigation that spanned nearly two months, detectives were able to locate and arrest Joseph Jennings on July 14th. He was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into jail. Jennings is now facing serious charges, including second-degree murder, in connection with the death of Seth Moisoff. While an arrest has been made, the motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and authorities have not released any information regarding a possible relationship between Jennings and Moisoff. The investigation is considered ongoing as the legal process against the suspect moves forward.
