On January 9, 2018, Frederick Eriven, a 23-year-old, was found shot to death in a parked car in Phoenix, Arizona. The incident occurred near 87th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, close to Desert Star Park at 8600 West Lewis Avenue.

Eriven was not the only victim in this incident; he was found alongside 23-year-old Marcel Cowans, who also suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The two men were discovered in Marcel's car, which was parked in the area.
