Kenya D. Simpson, a 44-year-old man, was tragically killed in a double homicide in Phoenix, Arizona, in June of 2016. He and his lifelong friend, Jimmy Hamilton, also 44 years old, were found with gunshot wounds inside a home near Southern and Central avenues.
The discovery was made late on a Saturday night when family members of Hamilton became concerned after not hearing from him for a period of time.
Upon arriving at the residence, they found the door locked and forced their way inside, where they found both men deceased. Phoenix police were called to the scene just after 11 p.m. and pronounced both Simpson and Hamilton dead.
In the days following the incident, Phoenix police homicide detectives were actively investigating the double murder but had not identified any suspects or determined a motive for the shooting.
