On the evening of February 27, 2022, in a residential neighborhood of northwest Phoenix, Arizona, police were called to the area of North 39th Avenue and West Rovey Avenue after reports of a shooting during an argument between two men. At the center of this incident was Terrence Jarrett, a 31-year-old Black / African American male, whose life was cut short when the dispute escalated into gunfire.
