In the early morning hours of September 7, 2024, a house party in west Phoenix turned tragic, ending the life of 33-year-old Humberto Ortiz, a Hispanic/Latino male. The gathering was taking place at a residence near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Thomas Road when violence erupted.
