On a tragic Friday afternoon, July 2, 2004, the life of 23-year-old Travis Lamont Nelson of Kansas City, Kansas, was cut short in a horrifying act of workplace violence. The ConAgra Foods meat-processing plant on Speaker Road, a place of employment for many, became a scene of chaos and bloodshed when a coworker, Elijah Brown, opened fire.
