On the evening of Friday, March 21, 2025, in the quiet community of Ebony, Virginia, the life of 20-year-old Jakwon Andre Bullock was tragically cut short. The young Black / African American man was in the side parking lot of the Ebony General Store at approximately 8:30 p.m. when gunfire erupted. When deputies from the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Jakwon Andre Bullock was pronounced dead at the scene.
