On the evening of March 28, 2025, in Roanoke, Virginia, a burst of gunfire shattered the night, leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 8:42 p.m. in the 700 block of 29th Street NW, police officers discovered Jumari Ya'seen McCoy suffering from gunshot wounds. The 26-year-old Black male was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
