In the pre-dawn hours of a February morning in Roanoke, Virginia, the life of 27-year-old Uhura U. Willis was tragically cut short. On February 17, 2024, at approximately 4:55 a.m., the Roanoke Police Department received a distressing call about a person with a gunshot wound in the 400 block of Patton Avenue NW. Responding officers discovered a grim scene in a wooded area where they found Willis suffering from what appeared to be critical gunshot wounds.
