ZayKeese Amarius Brown, a 25-year-old man from Lynchburg, was killed on May 6, 2025, after a shooting inside a home in the 2000 block of Bedford Avenue. Investigators said the call came in around 6:40 p.m., and when officers arrived, they found several people already trying to keep him alive as he suffered from a chest wound believed to be caused by a gunshot.
