In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 24, 2026, the life of 32-year-old Kennija Ware was tragically cut short in Lynchburg, Virginia. A resident of the city, he was fatally shot in the 700 block of Jackson Street. The Lynchburg Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area at approximately 2:27 a.m. With the assistance of his family members, officers located Kennija, who was seriously injured.
