In the heart of Lynchburg, Virginia, a life was tragically cut short on a Friday evening in November. Tyler Shane Johnson, a 28-year-old man, was fatally shot on November 11, 2022, at the Iron and Ale Lynchburg Tap and Table, a popular local restaurant. The community was left in shock and disbelief by the sudden and senseless act of violence that unfolded in what was considered a safe part of the city. Outside the restaurant, a memorial soon grew, honoring the memory of a young man described by the restaurant as 'one of our children.'
