The Black / African American male was shot and killed on August 15, 2015, in an incident near 13th and Pierce Streets that also left two others wounded. Paige, a rising junior at Heritage High School, was known for his love of sports and fashion, and was deeply cherished by his family.
The shooting that claimed Paige's life was not an isolated event. Law enforcement officials believed it to be one of at least six connected incidents in the area, likely stemming from gang and drug-related activities. Investigators suspect that these were targeted attacks between specific groups of individuals that had been ongoing for several months. While Paige was killed, a 21-year-old named Dakota Scott and a 17-year-old were also shot but survived with non-life-threatening injuries. The violence sent a shockwave through the local community, prompting calls for peace and an end to the bloodshed that had been plaguing their streets.

While police did not directly link these arrests to Paige's death, they were a result of the broader investigation into the ongoing gang violence.
