In the early morning hours of October 1, 2024, the life of 36-year-old Anthony Dwight Davis, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a hail of gunfire outside his home on Water Gate Drive in Lynchburg, Virginia. At approximately 12:37 a.m., Lynchburg Police responded to reports of shots fired and discovered Davis suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate life-saving efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
