In the quiet of a Thursday afternoon in Lynchburg, Virginia, on March 20, 2025, a residence on Winston Ridge Road became the scene of a tragic event that would cut short the life of 37-year-old Emery Saunders. A male, Mr. Saunders was found by Lynchburg Police Department officers who had responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 2:38 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered that Saunders had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
