In the borough of Brooklyn, a wave of violence on a Tuesday in late January claimed the life of 21-year-old Nickalos Mitchell. On the evening of January 28, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the young man was gunned down in the vicinity of 415 Lefferts Avenue. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his back and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
