In the borough of Brooklyn, a life was tragically cut short on the evening of December 20, 2021. Kerwin James, a 25-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Brownsville neighborhood. The incident occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. near the corner of Newport and Bristol Streets, just steps away from the Gethsemane Baptist Church.
