On January 5, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, 42-year-old Levan Galdava was fatally attacked in a parking lot near 3090 Ocean Avenue in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Galdava, a former Georgian police officer and soldier, was struck in the head with a hatchet and shot multiple times in the chest. He was transported to Coney Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
