Elijah Scott, a 45-year-old man, was fatally shot on the night of April 11, 2025, just steps away from his home in Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach neighborhood. The incident occurred around 9:55 p.m. on Brighton 12th Street, where Scott was gunned down in what authorities believe was a targeted attack. Officers from the 60th Precinct responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting and arrived to find Scott suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
