In the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, on a Wednesday, March 11, 1987, the life of a veteran police officer, 60-year-old Detective Louis Miller, was tragically cut short in a violent confrontation. A dedicated member of the New York City Police Department for nearly 34 years, Detective Miller was a respected field training officer who had mentored over 2,000 officers.
