On the night of May 5, 2020, a 25-year-old man named Oshea Barnes was shot and killed in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. The fatal encounter occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Bergen Street, not far from his home on New York Avenue.
