In the Strawberry Hill neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas, on the afternoon of November 8, 2024, the life of 21-year-old Daniel Thurman was tragically cut short. Police responded to reports of a shooting near North 6th Street and Splitlog Avenue at approximately 5 p.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young white male suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. Authorities arrested 25-year-old David Marcos, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, in connection with the fatal shooting. The arrest occurred shortly after the incident, and Marcos was subsequently charged with second-degree murder by the Wyandotte County District Attorney's Office.
Following his arrest, David Marcos was booked into the Wyandotte County Jail, where he is being held on a $200,000 bond.
