Marcus Adam Battles, a 39-year-old man from Mentone, Alabama, tragically lost his life on April 10, 2025. Battles was found inside a vehicle that had crashed into a residence on US Highway 117 in Mentone. First responders arrived at the scene and discovered that he had suffered gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities quickly ruled his death a homicide and launched an extensive investigation.
