Saul Zapata, a 41-year-old Hispanic male from El Paso, Texas, tragically lost his life on October 19, 1996. He was one of the victims in a violent shooting at the Tejano-style El Kumbala nightclub. The incident occurred when armed men burst into the club and opened fire on the patrons, ordering them to lie on the floor before shooting them repeatedly with large caliber semi-automatic pistols.
