On September 18, 2022, Christopher Ryan Correa, a 35-year-old man from El Paso, Texas, was shot and killed behind the 10-4 Oyster Bar in east El Paso. The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m., and surveillance video captured the shooting. According to police reports, 26-year-old Alexander Diaz approached Correa with a rifle and shot him multiple times. Correa was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
