On May 12, 2024, a deadly shooting occurred at the Elleven45 nightclub in Buckhead, Atlanta, resulting in the deaths of two young individuals, including 20-year-old Nakyris M. Ridley. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. during a fight inside the club. According to investigators, the gunfire erupted when a suspect, later identified as Karanji Reese, 21, opened fire after a altercation with Ridley and others.
