In the summer of 1947, a 47-year-old African American man named James Garfield Crane passed away in Atlanta, Georgia. His death on July 21st was initially not seen as suspicious. However, it would later be discovered that Mr. Crane was a victim of a female serial killer named Roberta Elder.
