In the early morning hours of December 29, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia, the life of 24-year-old Fulton County Sheriff's Deputy James Thomas was cut short. Thomas, a male who had been with the sheriff's office for less than a year, was found deceased in the driver's seat of his wrecked Ford Fusion on Bolton Road.
