In the early morning hours of June 3, 2014, the body of 55-year-old Freddie Releford was discovered in an alley in the 4100 block of Brooklyn Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Police had been called to the area around 12:45 a.m. after reports of shots being fired. Releford, a male, had been fatally shot.
